This company began by painting the side of our house when they were supposed to be painting the walls inside of our screened patio. we never showed them the side of our house -- never discussed it yet they blamed this mistake on us. They then painted over the holes where the screws to a hurricane shutters go. Next they painted the ceiling of our patio green instead of white and got paint on the pool patio screens. This company promised to paint our driveway and garage floor, even after being asked about proper preparation, they assured us they knew what they were doing and we now cannot use our driveway or a garage floor without pulling the paint up with our tires. I do not recommend them!

The prep work is meticulous, they carefully protect surfaces not meant to be painted, including my beautiful Cordyline plants that touch the wall. They even taped plastic over my cement floor backyard. The quality of the work is great, I don't see any flaws in the paint job, and the paint is quick drying with no overwhelming paint smell. They fixed any minor flaws with the surfaces, applying patches and re-stuccoing as needed. My house looks new again!

Awesome post! I just wanted to add a couple tips about cleaning brushes that might be helpful. If you’re painting and are coming back for second coats later the same day, you can put your brush in a ziplock bag to keep it from drying out while you’re taking a break. When cleaning your brushes, use Murphy Oil Soap, it really helps to get the paint off and is eco friendly. You can even soak brushes in it and clean them later on if you’re a giant procrastinator like I am 🙂 I love following your progress with this house and am so stoked to see the finished product! Highly recommend Kelly Brothers Painting! They have just finished epoxying my cement garage floor and it looks incredible! This was a small garage but a big job. Uplifted spots were ground flat, cracks were cemented closed, floor-to-wall transitions were added, colors and chips were customized, and an extra coat of clear was laid. The finished floor looks amazing, well worth the investment!
Wait for clear, dry weather before you prime and paint. Outdoor temperatures should be between 50 and 90 degrees F. Don’t prime or paint in the morning before the dew has evaporated, and stop painting before evening dampness sets in. Don’t paint on windy or dusty days.
