This company began by painting the side of our house when they were supposed to be painting the walls inside of our screened patio. we never showed them the side of our house -- never discussed it yet they blamed this mistake on us. They then painted over the holes where the screws to a hurricane shutters go. Next they painted the ceiling of our patio green instead of white and got paint on the pool patio screens. This company promised to paint our driveway and garage floor, even after being asked about proper preparation, they assured us they knew what they were doing and we now cannot use our driveway or a garage floor without pulling the paint up with our tires. I do not recommend them!

First-rate or second-best? Look at painting projects you’ve tackled in the past. Is the trim as smooth as you would like it to be on the new project? Are the walls uniform and free of lap marks? If you want results that may be difficult and time-consuming to achieve solo, hire a good contractor.

“Brad did an excellent job and only stopped when the rain started. He kept the area clean and orderly at all times, I barely knew he was there . Thank you so much for making this experience a pleasant one. I would recommend your company to anyone thinking of painting their home. Thanks to you guys, I have a brand new home!”

Painting your own house sounds fun since you could do it anyway you want. But I don’t think I would be able to do that though. Hope I could do that someday though 🙂 tisha February 26, 2015
Yes, you can mix interior and exterior paints as long as they have the same base. You can even mix a flat and a semi-gloss paint as long as they are both either oil-based or water-based. Be sure to combine both paints in a clean container and thoroughly mix the paints.
My partner and I are skim coating the texture out of our 2100 sqft home. We probably watched the same videos! and as intimidated as I was to star t, even after finishing just the first room, we have a pretty good handle on how to make it work. Unless you can easily afford to have someone else do it, I think it’s a forgiving enough project for even the most novice homeowner.
I hired three brothers to come out for three days to paint my entire condo top to bottom with new paint on the walls. Oscar gave me a professional estimate with a great bottom line price for the work. The crew worked FAST, were polite and careful with all my stuff. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations and I’m extremely happy with the work. My place looks BRAND NEW! Thanks Three Brothers!!
Taking on an interior paint job by yourself will almost always be cheaper. But you need to consider the time it will take you to do the job right. Sometimes you sacrifice quality as well. The painters themselves were so pleasant to work with. It's a family business, so the number of people working on any day varies, but at least 3 men were onsite at any time. They work quietly between 8:30 and 5, and they work through the weekend, even Sunday, to complete the job. Exterior painting on my 1600+ sq ft home took about 5 days.
For acrylic latex paint or other water-based finishes, choose brushes with synthetic bristles—either polyester or nylon. Natural bristles lose their integrity when they soak-up water from water-based paints. Brushes made from polyester keep their shape when wet and remain firm when you paint on a hot day. Brushes made with nylon last longer, but tend to become limp on hot days.
When painting a window, begin with the muntins and then paint the stiles, rails, head casing, side casings, and sill. If the window sash is operable, open it so it won’t be sealed shut.

Lastly, if you do not have heavier equipment like ladders or extension poles, you should add $125 – $450 to the paint material costs above.
